Custom Panel Van

The Panel Van has been synonymous with the great Australian surf safari, where sun, sand and surf shaped a generation of Australians. Baby Boomers everywhere hold fond memories, and many would have call it an Aussie way of life. Key to this Aussie culture was the Panel Van and its impact was immediate when Holden dressed up it's HQ Panel Van in 1974 in a bid to increase it’s presence and appeal in the expanding recreational market. It proved successful and continued to be offered on subsequent models, the HJ Holden (1974-76), HX Holden (1976-77) and HZ Holden (1977). It turned a commercial work vehicle into a sports styled weekender that has now made a place in Australian motoring history. For decades Aussies have been taking the humble Panel Van and turning it into their own Aussie icon, some to stunning effect. Customising the interior and external appearance to reflect themselves and make their own personal statement. Our Panel Van, based on the Holden VU, aims to do the same. With psychedelic graphics on a stunning Barbados Green body and the luxuriously plush interior, its a sentimental look at capturing all the fun and nostalgia of the period.
