Holden Coupe 60 Concept Car

Marking the ‘Diamond’ Anniversary of the first all-Australian car the 48-215, General Motors Holden revealed the Coupe 60 to an excited crowd at the 2008 Melbourne Motor Show. Six decades since the 48-215 first rolled off the production line at Fishermans Bend in Port Melbourne, the Coupe 60 gives automotive fans a vision of Holden’s future.
The engine is a Chevrolet sourced 6.0 litre V8 using the latest technology. An Active Fuel Management (AFM) system allows the car to actively choose how many cylinders to run on, depending on how much throttle is required.The Coupe 60 has the ability to run on E85 fuel which is a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol. With the energy saving technology the engine still outputs over 300kW, with a thunderous roar from its dual side-exiting exhaust.
The Coupe 60 sits on 21-inch wheels with heavily flared guards, using uniquely designed Kuhmo semislicks and large Brembo brakes, to bring the machine to a stop.
